Judging by the way I tend to dress and the way I look in general, I think people are safe to assume that I am a Winter person. I love layers, opaque tights, knitwear and coats and have the colouring of someone who has refused to greet the sun for 40 years, so in my book, Winter is great! <3 So, even though I'm sort of mourning the departure of the best Irish summer we've had in years and years, I can't help but feel excited for the colder months, and have already started stocking up on woolly hats, scarves and jackets.

However, we haven't exactly reach the depths of December just yet, so I thought I should ease the way I've been dressing gently in that direction with the help of one of my favourite current trends, Winter Florals! You may recognise this skirt that I also wore in an outfit I posted last Autumn. I would have to say that this is my absolute go-to floral skirt, especially during the transitional months, as the colour palette is rich and bright but without being too sickly sweet and pastel for the darker seasons. For my perfect A/W outfit, I just add boots, tights and muted knits to make an outfit that is super cosy and comfortable but still somewhat trend-conscious.

If you know my IRL, you have probably seen me in this outfit at least once (though I'm pretty sure I've worn this like 5 times in the past month), so it's safe to say that this will probably be my Autumn uniform. But I'm still looking for inspiration...
What is your go-to outfit for A/W?

Hope you're all keeping well!
Love,

    … you certainly make a super statement…..
you appear comfortable in your own skin...in your stylish look...... sincere and non pretentious Bravo

I grew up in tights, being in ballet for 13 years. In fact, mom raised me rather androgynously, so I also wore tights under big sweaters and hip length tunics and such around the house growing up. Your lovely look reminds me of all those days….epsecially when the delivery man would come and I’d meet him at the door and he’s refer to me as Miss……
Oh, by the way, I’m a guy…and I love fashion as much as I love dance.
I traveled in Europe this past fall,
It looks like you have the same affinity for tights as I have…..

I’ve been raving to my new friends about how much I love the tights/shorts look, so they encouraged me to try it myself…
and I have in a big way,….. denim cutoffs, high waisted shorts, even a romper…….
I will following your blog religiously….. thanks for sharing your lovely taste and your beauty
